The project for the construction of the sports facilities and swimming complex of the new school campus in the former S.A.R.A.M. area in Macerata, carried out by Torelli Dottori S.p.A., is part of the urban redevelopment program launched following the 2016 earthquake, aimed at providing new school buildings and community services. The project involves the construction of a swimming facility with an adjoining gymnasium, intended for both educational and competitive/public sports activities, replacing the existing facility, which had become obsolete. The building complex is developed in two interconnected building volumes, arranged over multiple levels, and includes: a pool hall with a main swimming pool and a leisure pool; a gym located on the first floor; and ancillary spaces such as changing rooms, service areas, reception, technical rooms, meeting room, and administrative areas. From a construction perspective, the project is characterized by prefabricated reinforced concrete structures with wide-span roofs, integrated with building systems dedicated to water treatment, climate control, and the regulation of thermo-hygrometric conditions. The spatial layout ensures efficient circulation management, separating different user groups and allowing simultaneous use of the facilities.
