The construction of the “Consorzio” multi‑purpose center in Urbino involved the development of a building complex intended for commercial, office, and service functions, located in a strategic position at the entrance to the city, near the “Croce dei Missionari” roundabout.
The project is set on an area previously occupied by the former agricultural cooperative headquarters and characterized by a sloping topography. The building is arranged along the hillside and follows a curvilinear layout that adapts to the natural morphology of the site. The intervention is composed of three distinct building blocks with reinforced concrete structures, connected by a continuous system of porticoes, covered walkways, and shared spaces, distributed over multiple levels, including two above ground and one basement level used for parking and service areas.
From a functional standpoint, the complex is organized with commercial and recreational activities located on the upper levels, mainly oriented toward the valley, while logistical and service functions are positioned on the opposite side. Vertical circulation between levels is ensured by staircases and elevators, strategically placed to guarantee full accessibility to all parts of the building.
