Center for the Conservation and Enhancement of Umbria’s Historical, Artistic, and Library Heritage

The reinforced concrete structure on seismic isolators was designed to create inclined façades. Its very simple and linear appearance is enhanced by the presence of a red-colored band that highlights the base and the entrances.

The building is a multifunctional facility intended to serve as an operational center for the conservation and enhancement of Umbria’s historical, artistic, archival, and library heritage. Constructed to high standards in full compliance with regulations and with the specific functional requirements of its intended use, it has been included by the Ministry of Culture in the Guidelines for the identification, adaptation, design, and fitting-out of temporary storage facilities for movable cultural heritage with attached restoration laboratories as an example of best practice for the proper design and construction of this type of facility.
