The construction of the gas pipeline connecting the industrial area of Virgineto, in the Municipality of Barchi, involved the development of a network infrastructure designed for the distribution of natural gas serving the local production area.
The works included the execution of trench excavations along the route, both in rural areas and in sections intersecting existing road infrastructure, followed by the installation of steel pipelines for gas transport. The pipes were laid on a prepared bedding layer, assembled through on-site welding operations, and subsequently covered with backfill and surface reinstatement, including road pavement restoration. The system was completed with the installation of ancillary facilities, including pressure reduction and metering units housed in dedicated metal cabinets, equipped with regulation, control, and safety devices.
