The extraordinary maintenance, seismic upgrading and energy efficiency improvement works of the “Bartolo da Sassoferrato” student residence involved the comprehensive refurbishment of an existing building, through interventions aimed at enhancing its structural performance and overall efficiency.
The works included internal demolition and reconfiguration of spaces, as well as the strengthening of masonry walls using reinforced plaster and of the floor systems through reinforcement techniques and the installation of steel bracing elements. The intervention was completed with the construction of new vertical connections and the upgrading of building systems, improving the building’s functionality and accessibility.
