The renovation of the “Giancarlo Caporicci” swimming pool in Tolentino involved a comprehensive upgrading of the facility, aimed at restoring full functionality and improving the overall quality of the indoor sports environment. The works, carried out by Torelli Dottori S.p.A., focused on both the building components and the technological systems supporting the pool activities.
The intervention concerned the main indoor pool hall, organized around a multi-lane swimming basin designed for training and competitive use. The refurbishment included the renewal of internal finishes, with the application of coverings specifically suited to high-humidity environments, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. The pool deck and perimeter walkways were reconfigured to improve usability and user safety, while the integration of fixed equipment and accessories supports organized sporting activities. The indoor space is characterized by a large-span covering system with exposed linear elements and integrated skylights, which provide diffuse natural lighting across the entire pool surface. This is complemented by a redesigned artificial lighting system, ensuring consistent illumination levels. Particular attention was also given to the ceiling-mounted technological elements, clearly visible and coordinated with the geometry of the structure.
