The expansion of the composting plant in the La Stanga area, in the municipality of Aielli, carried out for A.C.I.A.M. S.p.A., involved the extension and upgrading of the infrastructure dedicated to the treatment of the organic fraction of waste. The works, executed by Torelli Dottori S.p.A., are integrated within an existing plant facility and are aimed at improving operational capacity and the overall efficiency of the composting process.
The intervention included the construction of new civil works, such as slabs and reinforced concrete structures designed to accommodate the treatment lines, as well as the construction of industrial buildings with large internal spaces for the storage and processing of biomass.
From a plant engineering standpoint, the works included the installation of systems for air extraction and treatment, metal ducting, and abatement towers associated with biofiltration processes and emission control, as well as equipment supporting the various processing stages. These works are integrated with the existing structures through new connections and dedicated areas, ensuring the functional continuity of the plant.
