Villa Favorita

Villa Favorita is located on the summit of a hill, surrounded by a park covering approximately 16,000 square meters. It was built in the early 19th century by Count Luigi Ricotti, a merchant from the city who amassed his wealth through trade and subsequently entered the nobility. The plan has a square shape with chamfered corners, and each side presents a very similar composition. Inside, at the center of the main floor, there is a large hall topped by a domed ceiling. The building is also connected to a small stable. Since May 18, 1998, Villa Favorita has housed the Adriano Olivetti Institute for Advanced Economic Studies (ISTAO), founded by Giorgio Fuà, who supported the restoration works that began in 1989.
